Our advice for making good decisions

"Think fast"

  • You shouldn’t think for too long; you should come to a decision in a reasonable period of time.
  • Think as fast as possible to reach the main goal.
  • Recognize quickly the situations in which there is little time.
  • If you don't decide fast you might lose an opportunity.
  • React quickly to changing situations because not everyone will wait for you.

"Think slow"

  • It's better to think more than once about an important decision.
  • Good decisions cannot be made in hurry; it's best to think about priorities.
  • Dedicate the necessary amount of time; take into account all the information at your disposal.
  • Don’t be guided just by emotions, but by values.
  • Weigh all the options and their consequences, and make the right choice.
  • Develop reflection and concentration skills; ask for advice and define your identity.

"Decide well¨

  • Decide well because your future may depend on it.
  • Decide well because your decisions will affect others.
  • Make decisions based on facts: your decision should be well founded.
  • Base your decision on legitimate criteria rather than making impulsive decisions.

"Be strong"

  • Put into practice the decision that you have made.
  • Decision without action is vain; just do it.
  • You thought of it; forget your feelings, your mood, do what you have decided.
  • To be strong is to have the courage to make the right decision.
  • Make your own, well-informed decisions, not letting others’ opinions affect you too
  • much.
  • Be strong to respond to changing circumstances.
